Feasibility Inquiry for Merchant-of-Record Reseller Business Model

Dear Dodo Support Team,

I hope you are doing well.

We are evaluating Dodo as the payment infrastructure for our platform and would like to confirm whether the following business model is supported.

Business Model

Our company will maintain a single Dodo account and provide payment services to multiple merchants through our own platform.

The intended transaction flow is as follows:

• We maintain one Dodo account.
• Multiple merchants (Merchant A, Merchant B, Merchant C, etc.) are onboarded under our platform.
• Each merchant has their own settlement/source account.
• Each merchant serves multiple end customers.

For example:

1. Customer X purchases from Merchant A using our platform.
2. The customer completes payment through Dodo's checkout/payment flow.

3. Dodo processes the payment by:

   • Debiting the customer's payment method.
   • Deducting the applicable Dodo fees.
   • Settling the remaining amount directly to Merchant A's designated account.
4. The payment is shown as successful to both the customer and the merchant.

Our primary requirement is regarding taxation and invoicing:

• We (the platform owner) would like Dodo to issue all invoices and tax documents only to our company.
• Neither the merchant nor the end customer should receive Dodo-issued tax invoices or tax certificates.
• Merchants should simply receive their settlement, while customers should only see a successful payment confirmation.

This same flow should apply to every merchant onboarded on our platform (Merchant A, B, C, D, etc.) and their respective customers.

Could you kindly confirm whether this business model is supported by Dodo? If so, please let us know:

1. Whether multiple merchants can operate under a single Dodo account.
2. Whether settlement can be made to different merchant accounts while maintaining one platform account.
3. Whether all Dodo-generated invoices and tax documentation can be issued only to the platform owner (our company).
4. Whether there are any specific features, APIs, onboarding requirements, or compliance considerations needed to implement this model.
